Congratulations to the Weigand Class of 2016-2017!

Kyle Calvin grew up in small town Ness City, KS. He attended Fort Hays State University where he majored in finance, competed for the University’s Track and Cross Country teams, and served as the University’s student body president. Between undergrad and the start of law school, Kyle spent a semester interning in Washington D.C. for United States Senator Jerry Moran. Kyle, now a 2L at Washburn University School of Law, is ranked near the top of his class and is Executive Editor of Volume 56 of the Washburn Law Journal. He will be working this summer at Foulston Siefkin LLP.

Erica McCabe is currently a 2L at the University of Kansas School of Law. Before coming to law school, Erica served as a Teach For America Corps Member where she taught secondary Special Education and obtained her Masters in Education. During her two years in law school, Erica has been actively involved with the Student Ambassadors, Dean’s Fellows, Federal Bar Association, and the Law Review. In fact, Erica was recently elected to serve as the next Editor-in-Chief of Kansas Law Review. After law school, Erica hopes to pursue a career in civil litigation, and this summer she will be returning to Shook, Hardy & Bacon as a Summer Associate.

Liam Reilly is currently in his second year at Notre Dame Law School. During his time at Notre Dame, Liam has received top grade in two subjects while also finishing in the top 10% of his first-year class. He is a member of the Notre Dame Journal of International & Comparative Law and currently works in the law school’s Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic. This summer Liam will be returning to Lathrop & Gage in Kansas City. Liam is currently pursuing clerkship opportunities and looks forward to beginning his career back in his hometown.
