Weigand Scholars

"After less than a year as a Weigand Scholar, I would comfortable asking any of the Weigand alumni for advice or assistance, which is a testament to how welcoming, accessible, and approachable the alumni have been over the past year. "

Molly is from Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.  She was a member of the Women's Soccer team, and is a 2010 National Champion.

In the summer of 2017, Molly interned in the appellate unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Western District of Missouri.  Two of the briefs she drafted were argued in the 8th Circuit last fall, with decisions pending.  She was named to the Honor Roll for the  Spring and Fall 2017 semesters, and received the Faculty Award for the best exam in Family Law.

She will work at Shook, Hardy, & Bacon for the summer of 2018, and serve as managing senior editor of the Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy next year.

"I am honored to have been named as a Weigand Scholar for 2018-19.  The Trust has provided more support than I ever expected, and I am grateful for all the time and effort the trustees and the alumni devote to this organization.  I hope to make the Weigand Trust proud."
