As our Weigand Family continues to grow, so does the benefit of keeping the best legal talent in our State. We’re excited to welcome the following students to our community.

Paige E. Hungate (3L): Having been born and raised in Wichita, Paige is a Wichita State University graduate with a BS in Computer Science (Patent Bar Eligible), with a Minor in Mathematics. She is excited to finally be close to her dream of being a patent attorney. This summer, she will be splitting her time between Erise IP and Patterson + Sheridan.

Courtney Ress (2L): Courtney is a Kansas State alumna with several degrees: BA in German Language & Literature, BA in English Language & Literature, and MA in British & American Literature. It was recently announced that this summer, she’s the recipient of the Hansen grant, which pays for her to go to her hometown of Colby, KS to practice with attorney. John Gatz.

John Ralston (2L): A Wichita native, John is a Friends University graduate with a BA in Spanish. He will be splitting his summer between Martin Pringle in Wichita, and a judicial clerkship with Judge Melgren.

MIDDLE ROW – NOTRE DAME

Courtney Klaus (1L): Courtney is graduating from Newman University this spring with a double major in Communication and History. She grew up in Mulvane and enjoys writing and public speaking. She is the Editor-In-Chief of Newman’s student newspaper The Vantage and also serves as a Resident Assistant, Student Ambassador, and Treasurer for Newman’s Student Government Association.

Olivia Rogers (1L): Olivia is from Gardner. She will graduate from Kansas State University with a degree in Political Science, and completed the Pre-Law Legal Education Accelerated Degree Program. She’s already gained experience serving as a legislative intern for Speaker Ron Ryckman, Senator Molly Baumgardner, Rep. Susan Humphries, Rep. Chuck Weber and Rep. Erin Davis.
BOTTOM ROW-KU

Joseph Dallas Bryden (2L): Joseph is from Topeka, and a Washburn graduate with a BA in Finance and Marketing. Last year, he was a student clerk at the US Attorney’s Office in Topeka, and this summer, he’s accepted a position with the US Attorney’s Office in Kansas City.

Riley Nickel (3L): Riley is from Topeka and joins our large group of Kansas State graduates! His degree is a BS in Political Science/Pre-Law Studies, with a Minor in History. He’s served as a Judicial Intern to The Honorable Carlos Murguia at the US District Court for the District of Kansas (summer 2019), and will be at Husch Blackwell this summer.

Emily Reed (3L): From Pomona, Emily is an Emporia State Graduate with a BS in Political Science. Emily has worked at the Atherton & Huth Law Office in Emporia. Emily spent last summer at Spencer Fane, LLP in Kansas City and will be spending this summer with the Kansas Court of Appeals. She will also be doing research for Professor Mulligan at KU and will be tutoring in Evidence, Business Organizations, and Civil Procedure classes.
